Christopher was first called into ministry in 2004 when he became Youth Pastor at Discovery Hills Church. At the time, he was attending UC Davis where he graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in History in 2006. He then attended Western Seminary where he received his Master of Divinity degree. In 2018, he transitioned into the role of Lead Pastor. He has been married to Robyn since 2006. They have three children, Emaline, Judah, and Lucy. Chris loves road trips, movies, and the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Born in So Cal, Jason grew up in Nor Cal for most of his life. He attended Simpson University before taking his first full time ministry job in 2011. He met his wife during an internship in college and married long after in 2016. He loves national parks, Disneyland, and most anything technological.
Zoe has been at Discovery Hills since 1999 and is grateful for the blessing of working and serving here. She has lived locally for over thirty years, and has two adult married sons and four grandchildren. Zoe enjoys thrift store shopping, reading, and planning her next trip to visit the grandkids.
Chuck was born in Philadelphia, PA. He has a twin sister and older brother. He graduated from military school and entered the US Navy at 17 years old where he served for 10 years. He spent the last 30 years in the auto repair business from which he retired in 2001. Chuck has been married to his wife Jane for 35 years and has 5 boys.
Rob grew up in Southern California where he graduated from USC. He met his wife, Lauren, at Lake Avenue Church in Pasadena, and in 1993 they were married. In 1997 they moved to El Dorado County, where Lauren had grown up. Rob has been working as a public school teacher for over 25 years. He loves strategy games and sports, especially basketball (Go Kings!).
Jim was born and raised in Napa where he lived until 2002 when he and his wife, Cherri, built a new home in El Dorado. He and Cherri met in 1961 on the church steps and were married in 1965. They have two children and one grandson. He has been involved in various church responsibilities since his baptism in 1957. His personal interests are travel, old cars, home projects, and playing golf when he has time.
Jim grew up in Montana then attended Cal Poly University in Pomona. He received a degree in Chemical Engineering in 1985. Jim met and married his wife Sheryl in Southern California and they adopted two children, Justine and Ryan. Jim’s job led him to Folsom California in 2000 and the family relocated to Shingle Springs where they live on 10 acres. The Hieberts started attending Discovery Hills Church in April 2000. Their daughter Justine is married and has one son, Thorin. Jim and Sheryl have horses and love to ride whenever they can.
James was born and raised in Kodiak, Alaska, to an indigenous family. He met his wife, Patricia in high school; they were married in 1965. In 1969 they moved to Santa Cruz California where they both became Christians. They helped plant a church in Virginia and later moved to New York City before returning to California. They have two children, four grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He is a volunteer Sierra Law Enforcement Chaplain and enjoys projects on home and property and loves basketball.
